Description

The Australian Privacy Act 1988 is a federal regulation that governs the way in which some business entities and federal government agencies must handle personal information. It is designed to promote the protection of individual’s privacy in Australia, by imposing obligations on those who collect and handle personal information, to manage it responsibly and transparently. This creates a unique opportunity for forward thinkers to capitalise on one of the fastest-growing web security segments.  GDPA has developed this course with those people in mind. This course combines  the The Fundamentals of the Australian Privacy Act course together with a number of additional units.  As such, the learner will gain the necessary knowledge to understand the Australian Privacy Act, as well as the skills to navigate the GDPA Trust Platform and potentially become a GDPA partner.   There are no prerequisites to this course.
