Course Description
The Global Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), was introduced in the European Union in May 2018, paving the way globally, for the tightening of laws around data protection and privacy. Recognised as some of the most stringent laws, with hefty penalties for non-compliance, the regulation has changed the way personal information must be handled and processed.
The GDPR imposes obligations onto organisations globally, that target or collect the data of people in the EU. Given the penalties, organisations can no longer afford to use ignorance as an excuse for non-compliance. This creates a unique opportunity for forward thinkers to capitalise on one of the fastest-growing web security segments.
MAIT together with GDPA (the Global Data Protection Agency), have developed this course with those people in mind. This course combines the GDPR Foundation course and the GDPR Principles course, together with a number of additional units. As such, the learner will gain the necessary knowledge to understand the GDPR, as well as the skills to navigate the GDPA Trust Platform and potentially become a GDPA partner. Included with this course is a one-year free subscription to GDPA's Trust Platform. There are no prerequisites to this course.
