Course Description

In today's digital age, understanding cyber security is paramount for any effective data protection and privacy program. Cyber security knowledge equips individuals and organisations with the necessary tools to identify and mitigate potential threats, safeguard sensitive information, and prevent unauthorised access to data. By the end of this course the learner will be able to:

• Identify information Assets, why they are valuable & how to protect them
• Explain the role of the company & the employee​ in keeping company assets safe
• Recognise common cyber threats & understand how to mitigate them
• Demonstrate safe internet and email usage practices
• Recognise phishing and Business Email Compromise scams
• Understand how to keep mobile and removable devices safe & secure
• Have a basic understanding of a security incident and a notifiable data breach
• Promote a culture of cyber security, training & culture
